Here is another great example of how putting in time to pattern a deer can really pay off!
Mike started to get pictures of this Nebraska buck the first week in July. At that point he figured the deer would end in the mid to upper 140's. Well August proved Mike wrong. Splitter exploded into a true giant.
Mike continued to get pictures and pattern the deer from his spotting scope.
On opening morning Mike slipped in to his stand 2 hours before daylight. Just before 7am, Splitter popped out into a corn field nearly 200 yards away and slowly started towards him. Mike came to full draw once Splitter stepped into his 60 yard window. The deer continued to 41 yards and that was it!
The Carbon Element and G5 Montecs ended this 3 month journey.
Splitter scored 170 5/8" and was aged at 5 1/2. Congratulations Mike!!
