Nothing beats calling in a mature whitetail deer. It's a true accomplishment!
On October 8th, keith set up in a brush pile. He started with a short rattle. He had two bucks respond immediately and come into 60 yards. After a few minutes they worked their way off and out of sight. A second rattle sequence brought the same result. The two bucks would not come into shooting range. After the third time hitting the horns Keith had three bucks come in, and this time to within 40 yards.
In his own words "I settled the pin and let her fly". Congratulations on a fine South Dakota whitetail!
The Hoyt Carbon Element and Muzzy combo made for a short tracking job.
